On December 29, 2024, Empowering Integration Solutions hosted its One Family Dinner in Findlay, Ohio, bringing people together for an evening of food, culture, conversation, and connection.
Guests shared Soup Joumou, a traditional Haitian pumpkin soup with deep historical meaning. The dish is especially associated with Haitian Independence Day and represents freedom, resilience, and Haiti’s triumph over slavery.
The evening gave community members an opportunity to experience a part of Haitian culture while sharing stories, meeting new people, and building connections around the table. Guests also participated in a fun trivia activity, adding an interactive element to the celebration.
Events like the One Family Dinner reflect E.I.S.’s commitment to creating welcoming spaces where cultures can be shared, relationships can grow, and members of the community can learn from one another.

Empowering Integration Solutions was proud to participate in the Haitian Caribbean Summer Festival at the Black Heritage Library and Multicultural Center in Findlay.
The event brought the community together to experience Haitian and Caribbean food, music, games, language, and traditions while creating opportunities for people from different backgrounds to connect and learn from one another.
EIS founder Hachemy Gabriel helped organize the event and shared the importance of welcoming Haitian immigrants into the community. Through his work teaching English and supporting newcomers, Hachemy has seen firsthand how meaningful community connection can be for individuals adjusting to life in a new country.
The festival also helped educate the broader Findlay community, challenge stereotypes, and celebrate the growing cultural diversity of the area.

EIS Earns Third Place in 2025 Business Plan Competition
Empowering Integration Solutions was proud to earn third place in the 2025 Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition, hosted by the Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs.
The annual competition recognizes emerging businesses throughout the region for their creativity, purpose, and potential for long term impact. Finalists presented their business plans before a panel of experienced business and community leaders, competing for funding, mentorship, and greater exposure.
EIS was recognized for its work supporting immigrant communities through language services, workforce training, cultural support, and programs designed to help bridge gaps between newcomers, employers, and the broader community.
Receiving third place represents an important milestone for EIS and reinforces the value of its mission to create stronger connections, expand opportunities, and help individuals, businesses, and communities grow together.
